Short CV:

Dr. Emmy Delyannis graduated from Technical University of Athens, Dep/ment of Chemical Engineers with post-graduate studies in Kansas University, Lawrence, School of Chemical Engineering, Kansas and the Karlsruhe University, in Dep/ment of Mechanische Verfahrens Technik, Karlsruhe, Germany. She was teaching Unit Operations of chemical engineering and chemical technology, at the Technical University of Athens. In desalination field she entered about 1963, when desalination just started in application. She served as scientific secretary of the Working Part for Fresh Water from the Sea, of the European Chemical Engineering Society (EChES), Frankfurt, Germany. She organized, on behalf (EChES), with her late husband Prof. A. Delyannis, 6 International Desalination Symposia.
She is awarded for her service in Desalination the:

• Public Service Award of the UN Department of the Interior, and with Prof. A. Delyannis:
• "Desalination and Environmental Award» and the Certificate of Merit, of International Desalination and Environmental Association (IDEA), and the
• "Life Achievement Award" of National Supply Improvement Association (NSIA).
